iBusiness OwnerEverybody likes shortcuts.

We program our GPS units to take the shortest route to our destination. We pick checkout aisles at the grocery store which have the fewest customers ahead of us in line. We buy gadgets and gizmos to help us more quickly improve our golf game, lose weight, cut our debt and so forth.

Truth be told, we like shortcuts. We like getting whatever it is we want in the fastest, easiest way possible.

The same can be said for our businesses, right? All things being equal, we’d like to “speed up” profitability. We’d like to get to our income destination with the shortest route possible.

I’ve found such a shortcut. In fact, I might even be so bold as to label it the “ultimate shortcut” to internet business success.

It’s called iBusiness Owner from world renowned internet marketer Jimmy D. Brown.

It’s actually THREE membership sites in one for only $10.

1) iBusiness Owner’s Manual: Every month members receive a feature length manual 35-50 pages in length detailing exactly how to make more money from any Internet business.

2) iBusiness Owner’s Toolkit: Every month members receive a mixture of “all access” training articles, swipe files, templates, checklists and more to help grow any business.

3) iBusiness Owner’s Club: Every month members receive exclusive perks that include matching credit, free products, licensing to products and much more.

All of this for just $10!

I’m not sure how long the $10 price will be available for this “three in one” offer, but I do know that once you are “locked in” you will never pay more.

Traffic is the golden key to unlocking treasure chests full of cash online…

If you can get traffic, money comes at will.

So with that said, here’s a run down of my top 10 favorite traffic methods for 2012…

Some of these apply to affiliates. Some apply to product owners. But ALL of them work…

1. Joint ventures and ad swaps.

If you have an opt in e-mail list, you can *leverage it* by offering to swap ads with other list owners. They run your product ad, and you run theirs. It’s literally that simple!

2. E-mail list traffic.

This is obviously related to #1. You need a list! Most visitors to your site won’t buy the first time. They’ll buy after repeated exposure. Or, they’ll buy a *different* offer from you, more suited to their needs.

But the biggest benefit is that with a properly “groomed” list (where you offer VALUE to your subscribers and treat them how you’d want to be treated), you can make thousands of dollars with a single e-mail, in just 24 hours or less!

It’s quite likely the easiest money you’ll ever make in your LIFE. And people just like you are doing it every day.

3. Affiliate traffic.

This is why it’s so critical that you become not just an affiliate, but a *product owner* as well. You can have dozens, or hundreds, or even *thousands* of affiliates promoting your product for a commission…

You only “pay” for the traffic when an affiliate makes a sale. I’ve had a SINGLE affiliate send me over 6 figures in sales!

4. Solo ads.

Don’t have an e-mail list of your own? You can STILL benefit with the power of e-mail marketing by “renting” somebody else’s e-mail list for a day. This is typically done by purchasing a “solo ad”, where the list owner sends out your e-mail promotion to their entire list for a fee.

I made my very first sale ever online by running a solo ad, and they’re just as popular as ever today!

5. Warrior Special Offers Forum.

If you have an Internet marketing related, or “make money online” related product, the special offers section of Warrior Forum is an *awesome* place to get it in front of a “captive audience” of thousands of prospective BUYERS—for only $40.

If you run an affiliate program, you can have your affiliates promoting your Warrior Special Offer, and amass even more sales that way.

Not long ago I ran a Warrior Special Offer that grossed over $30,000 in just a few days! And results like mine are happening *all the time* at the forum.

6. Pay-per-click.

Pay per click traffic, such as that through Google AdWords or Facebook Ads, is another *proven* method where you pay “x” amount of cents for every click to your website or blog…

The key here is to TEST small, until you’re profitable, and THEN go big.

If you can make $2 for every dollar you spend, how many dollars would you spend?! ;-)

7. YouTube/video traffic.

The key to getting traffic from videos is to create a “channel” dedicated to one niche, or one topic, and then producing *consistent*, quality videos for that channel day by day and week by week…

The point is to get subscribers to your channel, who will be alerted to every video you post. In this way, it’s very much like the benefits of an e-mail list, except that you’re uploading a video rather than sending an e-mail message.

8. Article marketing.

Write an article, and use it in EVERY way you possibly can! Submit it to your blog. Submit it to the popular article directories. Convert it to video! Compile related articles into reports and e-books and submit them to doc sharing sites. Etc!

Obviously you’ll want a “resource box” attached to the bottom of each article you write, that links to your website or offer. Check out other articles for good examples. Look for the resource boxes that make YOU want to click, and model after them.

9. Viral marketing.

There are countless ways to take advantage of viral marketing. If you can write a report or create a video that is “shocking enough” or “valuable enough” or “entertaining enough” to go viral, you can get more FREE traffic than you ever imagined! You’ve already seen the *proof* of this over and over again on YouTube and elsewhere.

Here again, take queues from, and model after, that which is already working—content that has already gone viral.

10. Forum and community marketing.

Participate in forums related to your niche market (such as Internet marketing, golf etc.), and become recognized as an expert on your topic…

The traffic comes from including a forum “signature file” that automatically appears after each forum post…But another “hidden benefit” is that forum threads can be indexed by search engines, meaning even one post or thread can get traffic for years to come, long after it’s been “buried” on the forum!

Master even ONE of these methods and you’d have to screw *everything* else up in order NOT to make cash *at will* online!

Don’t forget, have FUN at making money online—the way it should be! :)

Bryan Winters is the architect of the free list building website, 5iphon Hardcore, that gets you 5 *more* subscribers for every ONE you bring in.

Unlimited Facebook Ads Loophole

Posted January 8th, 2012. Filed under Internet Marketing

Armageddon PaydaysMo Mulla, in case you haven’t heard of him, is a big Internet Marketing player for over 10 years now. And the guy just has a crazy knack for finding flat-out weird ideas to make a lot of cash.

His latest venture involves “gaming” Facebook and hijacking their traffic.

It’s perfectly legal and rare to see anyone like Mo scoring traffic quite like this.

OK, now that you’re curious check out this video (no opt in required) to see exactly what he’s up to.

Pretty freakin’ eye opening.

Free One Time Offer Script

If you’ve been involved with Internet marketing for even a short amount of time, the odds are you’ve encountered the “one-time offer”.

One-time offers are commonly referred to “OTO” for short.

It’s a page that displays just once, giving you some super special discount on a product or membership.

The reason one-time offers are used by just about all the big money-earning Internet marketers is because they pull in sales like CRAZY!

The hard part is actually being able to make an OTO. Usually it requires some expensive membership software to even be able to show one that looks professional.

Luckily, Solomon Huey decided to create a service that could finally help Internet marketers create their own one-time-offers for free.

You can check out his new site here.

Solomon is a full-time marketer who really knows his stuff, and his one-time offer software is something that has been needed for a very long time.

One-time offers are one of the easiest ways to start making more sales today, so naturally this service is perfect if you’ve been looking for more ways to earn bigger profits online.

OTOs are one of the FEW methods that can truly put you on a more level-playing field with the big-time marketers who typically spend thousands of dollars developing new software.

Of course you’ll see a very cool upgrade offer when you join. If you’re serious about pulling in more sales from the Internet, you don’t want to miss it!

See why so many people are rushing in to join Solomon’s OTO software.

SEO Networker

For the past couple years, since Google AdWords laid the smackdown on our industry, people have really struggled with getting traffic to their websites.

If you’ve been doing Internet marketing at all recently, then you know what I’m talking about.

Newbies and Gurus alike have been scrambling to solve this MAJOR issue.

Bottom line is if you get no traffic, you get no leads and well…you don’t make money.

Fortunately for all of us, 2 of the most brilliant dudes in our industry have been hard at work experimenting and testing every single traffic source they could get their hands on.

They’ve spent the past 2 years testing everything from “pop up” ads to alternative PPC to Advanced SEO techniques and have literally created a push button traffic system.

But here’s the juicy part…they are gonna open up their traffic playbooks and reveal 5 of the best traffic strategies for FREE!

And this ain’t no gimmicky free e-book launch thing that’s trying to get you to buy their stuff…

The content they are giving away is very detailed and in-depth “how to” video training, which could easily be a VERY expensive traffic course in and of itself.

I think they are insane for giving it away, but since they’ve already let the cat out of the bag, I highly recommend you go get your traffic videos before they change their mind.

Want Traffic? Go get it.

Whether you’re training for a marathon or new to parenting or looking to buy a house for the first time or trying to start an Internet business, there is one thing you want…

A blueprint.

In other words, you’d like a set of steps you can follow to reach your intended result. Do this first. Then this. Finish with this.

It can be overwhelming to try figuring it out on your own through trial and error. Most never do.

I’d like to share with you a “blueprint” for making money from well known Internet marketer, Jimmy D. Brown. It’s not the ONLY blueprint, but it’s one that he’s successfully used and so have many others. There are 7 steps that he has put together in a kind of “snapshot” of what this model looks like.

Step 1: Choose a Market

But don’t just choose any market. Instead, choose a HUNGRY market. That means you’re looking for a market that is actively seeking paid solutions to their problems.

Here’s how:

• Search marketplaces like Amazon.com and Clickbank.com to see what types of niches attract eager, proven buyers.

• Use a keyword tool like WordTracker.com or the free Google Keyword Tool to find out what people are searching for. You can enter your proposed niche keywords (like “dog training”) to see if there is a demand, or enter a broad keyword (like “secrets” or “how to”) to uncover new niches.

• Go to EzineArticles.com and browse the top articles to see which niches are popular.

Step 2: Get Your Tools In Place

Once you find a niche that spends money, your next step is to gather your tools. These include:

• A domain name, which you can get at NameCheap.com.
• Hosting, which you can secure at HostGator.com.
• An autoresponder, which you can purchase through Aweber.com.

Step 3: Select an Offer to Promote

Next, you need to find an affiliate offer that you can promote to your hungry niche. The best way to do that is to find out what they’re already buying and choose a similar offer.

Simply go to Clickbank.com and browse the relevant niche category. Those products appearing at the top of the catalog are your best sellers—you should choose a product near the top of the list.

Just be sure to buy, read and use the product to ensure that it is, indeed, a good product.

Step 4: Write and Upload a Mini eCourse

Your next step is to create an autoresponder series around the topic of your product so that you can promote your offer. Your autoresponder series should be at least 7-12 messages long.

For example:

• You’re selling a copywriting product. You can create a seven-part e-course on how to write a sales letter. Then promote the copywriting product in every message.

• You’re selling a diet recipe book. You can create a 10-part weight loss course that pitches the recipe book in every message.

• You’re selling a dog training video. You can create a seven part course that teaches the basic obedience lessons such as sit, down and stay. In every message you refer your prospects to the paid video for more information.

Here’s the key: Do NOT solve your prospect’s problems 100%. You want to provide useful but incomplete information, so that your prospects need to purchase your affiliate offer in order to fully solve their problems.

Step 5: Create a Squeeze page

Next, you need to persuade your prospects to subscribe to your e-course. You do this by creating a mini sales page (AKA squeeze page). This page should include:

• A headline that touts your course’s major benefit (e.g., “FREE: How to house-train your puppy in just three easy steps!”).

• A list of the other benefits of your course (e.g., “You’ll discover the secrets of turning an unruly, rambunctious puppy into a perfect house guest!”).

• And a call to action (e.g., “Just enter your name and email address in the form below now, click join and you’ll get instant access to this eye-opening report!”).

You may also provide proof of your claims, such as testimonials, videos, screenshots, pictures and similar evidence.

Step 6: Drive Traffic to the Squeeze Page

Next, you need to drive targeted traffic to your squeeze page so that you can quickly build your list. You can do this by:

• Starting a blog and posting articles that are optimized for the search engines.

• Trading links with other high traffic sites in your niche.

• Being a guest blogger on other peoples’ blogs.

• Co-promoting with other marketers in your niche (e.g. endorsing each other in your newsletters).

• Submitting articles to EzineArticles.com and other article directories.

• Using social media sites like Squidoo.com, Yahoo! Answers, and Facebook.com.

• Participating on niche forums on in niche blog discussions.

Step 7: Add Messages to Your Autoresponder Series

Once you’re getting traffic, building your list and making a profit, you can start adding even more messages to your autoresponder—anywhere from a couple month’s worth of messages to a year or more.

That way you’ll make money virtually on autopilot—all you have to do is build your list and let your autoresponder do all the work!

Summary

Making money online doesn’t have to be complicated, not when you follow these 7 easy steps!

Do You Believe This B.S.? by Bob Bly

Posted October 27th, 2011. Filed under Copywriting

I recently read an online promotion from one of the big Internet marketing gurus.

In it, this gentleman—whom I consider a personal friend—stated that “Anything is possible.”

He also said he had a new Web site that would help you “find your super powers”.

That’s hype to a high degree.

And frankly, I don’t believe it.

I could never write something like that for one of my own products and still sleep at night.

Yet I don’t have a problem with this guy, what he is selling, or how he is selling it.

Why not?

Because he believes in what he is saying and selling—even if I do not.

And that’s the key to making hype work in your copy today: believing in what you say.

There are a lot of complaints today about the incredible level of hype in copy, particularly online.

As an example, take a look at: www.thecopygod.com—a humorous spoof site that pokes gentle fun at the hype style of copywriting.

A lot of copywriters and marketers see hype-filled promotions and have one of two reactions.

Either they hate it and make a deliberate decision to avoid it in their own copy…probably a good decision for them.

Or they think, “These guys wouldn’t write all this hype if it wasn’t working”—and emulate it in their own promotions, usually with disastrous results.

You see, a key to writing successful copy—copy that fills your mail box or shopping cart with orders—is enthusiasm.

Enthusiasm for the ideas…enthusiasm for the product…enthusiasm for what you are writing about…enthusiasm for the wonderful ways in which the product will improve the buyers’ lives.

The masters of hype can be genuinely sincere and enthusiastic in their hyperbolic copy, because they absolutely believe 100% in what they are saying and selling.

Therefore, if you too believe in something outrageous or seemingly impossible…and are sincerely convinced it can help others…you can write hype copy that comes across as energetic, enthusiastic, positive, and even sincere!

On the other hand, if you don’t believe the superlatives and outrageous claims you are making in your copy, the hype will backfire on you.

Your copy will have all the sincerity of a three-dollar bill—and readers will be able to sense your disingenuousness and B.S. a mile away.

Result: your copy will fall flat…and your promotion will generate minimal orders and revenues.

“How can some of these hard-sell marketers believe the hype they write, particularly about money making, business opportunities, investments, self help, and alternative medicine?” I have been asked many times.

It’s simple: each of us has different experiences and belief systems.

What sounds like baloney to you and me may be absolute gospel to our colleagues and competitors.

A year or so ago, two well-known direct mail copywriters, DH and PL, got into an argument in print about the ethics of writing for nutritional supplements.

DH called dietary supplements “snake oil”. PL countered that the pill he was promoting in his copy had worked wonders for those who had taken it.

The bottom line is: market and write about only those products, services, and ideas you think deliver an honest and fair value to the consumer.

Another copywriting friend, RS, often said he would work on any offer that wasn’t “illegal, immoral, or fattening.”

Good advice, but I also think you should avoid working on any product you don’t believe in and aren’t enthusiastic about.

After all, if you aren’t enthusiastic about the product when you write your copy, the prospect is likely to be equally unenthusiastic when he reads it.

Bob Bly is the author of “World’s Best Copywriting Secrets” and has written copy for more than 100 companies including IBM, Boardroom, Medical Economics and AT&T. Rocket Site Launcher

Imagine being able to create a nice-looking review site for some great affiliate products in a niche you want to target.

Imagine being able to do it without spending an arm and a leg on designers, graphic artists, copywriters and techie people to install everything for you.

Imagine being able to go from idea to complete website in 15-30 minutes.

That’s what Rocket Site Launcher lets you do. If you’ve been struggling to get past the hurdle that technical details put in the way of most people just getting started, this is EXACTLY what you need.

Of course, just having a website doesn’t guarantee you’ll make any money, but it’s a HUGE hurdle for most people to get over. When you do, the path is clear to build your business.

And Rocket Site Launcher removes pretty much every single technical hurdle that stands in the way of most people who try to break into Internet marketing.

The key to Rocket Site Launcher is the web-based tool that lets you create a website as easily as you order a book from Amazon. It really is that simple.

It’ll walk you through a “wizard” that covers every step you need to take. You make some choices, pick some options, click your mouse a few times and out pops a snazzy website that looks like you paid somebody thousands to create it.

Make no mistake about it, you need a nice site these days. Rocket Site Launcher gives it to you in 15-30 minutes!

It’s hard to imagine it being any easier than this. Here’s what I mean:

* You use this tool online (you just have to log in), so you don’t have to install anything on your own computer

* It takes less time to create a website than it does to watch your favorite nighttime drama on television.

* You’ll have a huge number of templates to choose from, including CPA review sites, multiple product review sites, digital product sites and squeeze pages.

* Every site comes with all the pages you need, including a privacy policy and article pages (if you choose a template that includes them)

* You don’t need to be a technical genius to use this…you can actually be a technical dunce, because all you have to do is log in and follow the wizard (it’ll even put your site files on your web server for you, so you don’t have to know anything about FTP)

* The site you create will integrate with your autoresponder automatically, so you’ll be able to start building your own niche e-mail list right away!

That’s what I call a helpful tool!

The Video Squeeze by Paul Colligan

Posted September 3rd, 2011. Filed under Audio/Video Marketing

What if you could add a single process into your Internet Marketing efforts that resulted in better conversion? A process that also automatically sifted and sorted your user base, was easier to produce than the alternative, and had a list of side bonuses with no additional efforts?

In truth this article is about two things: the “squeeze page” (which I’ll call a “squeeze” from this point on) and the addition of a video element to the squeeze page process. The strategy behind the squeeze is solid and the addition of video allows your audience to quickly know, like and trust you—all of which are essential elements to closing any and every sale.

Closing that sale, through squeeze methodology, only happens when you have their name and e-mail address—and that’s accomplished through a successful squeeze page.

Let’s face it, video on the Internet is very ‘sexy’ right now—leveraging it in the squeeze page process will produce some very interesting results.

About The Squeeze…

The concept behind a squeeze (also called a ‘list grab’) is simple: send your audience to a page that only has one option—the entry of an e-mail address. Sometimes a squeeze page will also ask for a name (or additional pieces of information) but the end game is always the same—get the user to give you the info you need to market to them on a regular basis, not just the one-time option provided by the existing page.

Because there are no options on a squeeze page other than information collection, the % collected are considerably higher than in any other medium. I’ve seen squeeze pages that convert as high as 80%.

Some marketers are a bit nervous about using the squeeze for one simple reason—they’re concerned that they can’t put enough information on a squeeze page to get a user to know, like and trust them enough to “make the sale”, or convert in whatever way is desired.

While this is an understandable concern, the facts are simple: if a user doesn’t trust you enough to give you their name and e-mail address, you’ll never convert them to anything else.

So, don’t worry about people who won’t give you their e-mail address (because some won’t, no matter who you are), worry about the people who will.

The goal of a squeeze page is to sort the audience between people who will trust you with information and those who won’t. You end the short process with a list of people hungry for your marketing messages.

Truth be told, most pages try to pull that off via nothing but text. Whereas, yes, I get the irony of pointing out the limits of such in print, it is still important to point out that anything you can do to speed up that process is recommended highly. You’ll often see squeeze pages with pictures, audio, and video that all support the end goal of collecting user information. Obviously, we’ll focus on the integration of video here.

We’re a visual world. People respond to visuals and place a considerably higher value on them over other forms of media. Video is the top player in visual communications for the simple reason that is in fact multiple frames of visual content per second. Consider how many people watch news on television versus read the paper and how many suddenly jumped on the iPod bandwagon once they introduced video and…do the math.

For those who eat, sleep, drink the world of Internet communications, we often forget that the “average” user doesn’t. These are the ones who visit Google to do a search on “www.google.com” (it’s almost always in the top ten) and the squeeze page often encourages them to “submit a form” or complete other tasks that simply weren’t part of anyone’s lexicon 10 years ago. With video on a squeeze page you can explain the process, even point to the form elements. By showing your face, you make it personal, and conversions go up considerably.

You’d be surprised how many people don’t know how to fill out a simple form. But you know what? Your warm face online, walking them through the process, changes everything.

So, how is this done? It’s actually much easier than you’d expect…

You 1) produce the video and 2) publish it online. Once that’s done you 3) embed the video using a video player on your squeeze page and 4) collect information accordingly.

FYI, a video squeeze almost always has the video set to play the second the page loads.

Word of caution: your video has to demonstrate the trust you are asking your visitors to demonstrate. Post video worth leaving your name and e-mail address for.

Numbers…

The numbers in a squeeze process are considerable. Instead of having a single chance to convert a buyer to a single product, adding them to a mailing list gives you as many chances as you can e-mail. Even if you can only get one out of every four people who visit your squeeze to give you their name and email, the lifetime access to that customer is exponentially more viable (and potentially profitable) than the single-minded approach of one-off pages that so many employ.

Another great thing about squeezes is that they quickly let your marketing decisions become as simple as running numbers. If you know your page converts 40% (low) and it costs a dime to bring someone to that page, you now know that adding someone to your list costs forty cents. You can then determine if you can make more than 40 cents per name on the list. If you can, you run as many dime clicks through that page as possible. If you can’t, you refine the process until you can.

The numbers change dramatically when you can convert more people on your squeeze page. Video will help. That is what the rest of this piece is about (oh yeah, with a bonus trick too).

Quick Recommendations…

I’d like to offer some additional simple suggestions for creation of video content:

First of all, the video player is crucial. Not only must it auto-play without any interaction from the user, it also must not advertise anything else other than the video you are playing. Using the (traditional) video player from a popular video hosting service (no matter how cool) will result in lost conversions. In short, if your users can go anywhere or do anything on the player, you need to find one that works. More on that in a second.

Secondly, audio is more important than you think. A great-looking video with bad sound makes you look bad. Looking bad has a way of decreasing conversions. ‘Nuff said.

Finally, the video doesn’t have to be a special effects spectacular. In fact, this could distract your audience.

Some of the best (most effective) video squeezes are a simple, well-lit face with good audio explaining why they should sign up accordingly.

Remember, the squeeze (video or other) has one simple purpose: get the user to enter their e-mail address (and often name). That is the single purpose of the page. Explain how great the product is later—after you have their address.

Nothing makes more sales than an e-mail and we don’t expect that to change for a long time.

Technology…

To pull off a squeeze you need a 1) page to place the squeeze on, a 2) video player (without distractions) and 3) an automated email collection and management system.

Page: To be as effective as possible, your squeeze needs to be on a single page without any other links on it. While this can be done in a Blog, the “hacks” required to move all links from a blog is considerably more complicated than creating a simple HTML squeeze page.

Video Player: As mentioned above, the player must not have any other options on it than playing the video and playing it automatically. Third-party players usually won’t do this for you. Find one that does.

Automated E-mail Collection: I believe there are really only two options in the e-mail game anymore: Aweber or InfusionSoft.

The YouTube Squeeze Twist…

This one is good.

Are you ready?

Place your squeeze page video on YouTube.com.

Paul, doesn’t their player do all the things you said not to do above?

Yes, their player does.

There are other players that play YouTube video without all the YouTube nonsense?

Yes, there are.

But, wait, Paul, if I did that, I could a) get free hosting of my video and b) get credit in YouTube views every time someone viewed my video at a squeeze?

Yes, you could…

Paul, really, how does that work?

Click here and you’ll see a YouTube video that explains all.

Heck, with the YouTube QuickCapture Feature (Google it), you can even record right to YouTube without having to edit a thing on your desktop. Remember what we said about high-quality videos though.

Oh, and about the people who find your video on YouTube.com proper, include a little something for them so they can find their way to your squeeze page as well. YouTube annotations, a verbal welcome to the domain name hosting your squeeze, and a link in your YouTube description can help pull that off.

In Summary

The squeeze builds your mailing list faster than anything else out there. If you aren’t using squeezes, start TODAY.

Anything you can do on your squeeze to get more people to know like and trust you, the better off you are. Video is one easy way to do that and should be implemented immediately in any squeeze plans you have planned – or have in production. Have the video play automatically when the user visits the page and walk them through the process of signing up for your information. This will increase your conversions (and later, profits) considerably.

The YouTube Squeeze Twist will host your video for free and get your video views counted on YouTube. It’s the best of both worlds and leaves you, dear reader, without an excuse!

  • Use a good video player
  • Make sure your audio is outstanding
  • Don’t worry about special effects
  • Use a premier automated e-mail collection system
  • Don’t forget the YouTube Squeeze Twist

Today I want to clue you into 5 Internet marketing myths that keep a LOT of people from ever seeing any success.

Usually people believe these and never even get started.

I’ve had my own business for a long time now. If the e-mails I get every single week from my readers are a good measure (and I think they are), LOTS of people believe these.

It’s sad, because these myths have never been true, as far as I know. But they hold people back.

I’ll not only tell you what the myths are, but I’ll also tell you the TRUTH for each one…and how to turn it to your advantage.

——————————————-
Myth #1: You Need To Be Technical Genius
——————————————-

Not even close!

When I started I knew nothing. I’m STILL not the best technical guy around. It really doesn’t matter.

This stands in the way of lots of people even trying to start their own Internet business, and that’s silly.

Honestly, you can have an ugly website and still make serious cash. I’m not saying that’s a guarantee, but you definitely do NOT need to be a technical wizard.

Now, if you really want to succeed online, you typically do need a website, but here’s the thing…you do NOT need a complicated one.

You can probably hire somebody at Elance.com to make you a simple website for $100 or less. Or you can do it yourself with free tools.

You’ll need to learn a few things, like maybe some HTML basics, but you don’t have to be super programmer or anything like that.

This actually gives you a big advantage.

Most people waste time and money building beautiful websites before they even know there’s a market for what they want to sell.

If you start very simple, you can figure out if there’s a market FAST, then really cash in.

——————————————-
Myth #2: It Costs A Ton To Get Started
——————————————-

No way. In fact, it doesn’t have to cost much of anything.

I won’t say it costs absolutely nothing, because I recommend that you have at least $250 to spend on things like an autoresponder account, maybe a simple website from a freelancer, and so on.

But that’s all the expense I’m talking about.

You don’t have to spend thousands on every expensive gadget, gizmo or graphic.

Google is your friend here.

When I first started, I wasted so much money on stuff I didn’t need. You can avoid that mistake and start by searching for no-cost resources on Google.

That goes for everything from things like a website, to courses to help you learn skills you need.

For example, I offer several no-cost courses and I’m not the only one. There’s lots of help out there.

One other possibility (a great opportunity for you) is to hang out in marketing forums and find people with the skills you need.

When you find a good prospect, you can offer to do something for them if they’ll give you what you need.

Believe me, you have at least one skill that other people will consider valuable. Maybe you can write, or draw, or make videos, or create simple websites, or think of good product ideas. Anything you can contribute is fair game.

This is a great way to meet people, and you can also get a nice profit opportunity out of it.

If you find somebody you work well with, you can propose a joint venture (JV) and split the profits. You’ll already have a good relationship, so you can take it to the next level VERY easily.

I’ve done this myself with several people, and it has been extremely lucrative for me.

——————————————-
Myth #3: You Have To Be A Niche Expert
——————————————-

You most definitely do not when you’re first starting.

All that really counts is that you have to provide helpful information at a compelling price. Really, that’s it.

Look, very few people are niche experts right when they enter a new niche. Instead, they learn a little bit, create a nice entry-level product, then tiptoe into the market.

As they learn more, they grow their product offerings more.

Their reputation grows over time.

I’m not saying you can’t be a niche expert from day one. If you’re already an expert at something (like sailing, or pet training, etc.) then go ahead and describe yourself as an expert.

What’s true for everybody, though, is that unless you’re famous offline, nobody’s going to know you online, even if you really are an expert.

It’s much wiser to BECOME an expert by being in a niche for a while.

You can actually make a killing that way, and I’ve proven it myself.

Years ago nobody knew who I was online. But I had written some very successful promotional e-mails, and some marketing friends of mine said I could create a product out of that.

Now, like I said, I wasn’t known as “the e-mail expert.” But I knew what I was talking about, and LOTS of people wanted to know how to write an effective e-mail.

So I created a product about it and built a reputation in the e-mail marketing niche.

You can do the same thing.

——————————————-
Myth #4: You Don’t Need A Product
——————————————-

I bet that’s not the myth you expected. You probably thought I was going to say that people assume they need a product, when they really don’t.

That’s sort of true and sort of not.

You definitely don’t need to have your own product when you first get started, but believe me when I say it’s a HUGE advantage.

Having your own product gives you an asset that can pay you back in multiple ways:

* You can sell it for a profit

* You can reuse the content for other things

* You can sell resale rights to the product and make serious cash on that

And there are more options.

The point is, I think you DO need a product, and it’s very easy to create one.

All you have to do is research a topic you’re interested in.

You can start at an article site like EzineArticles.com, but also use Google to find websites about the topic.

Then write up a short report, maybe only 5-10 pages, chock full of helpful information.

You can sell that for $7 pretty easily if you have a good title that promises to give readers some bit of information they desperately want.

For example, you could write a report about how to beat a speeding ticket, or cure a common ailment, or do something seemingly difficult like buying a good used car. Anything helpful can work.

Once you have your report, you can make an audio version using a free software tool like Audacity. Or you can record a video with YouTube.

Really, creating your own product isn’t hard. The mistake people make is trying to create too fancy a product. Keep it simple to start, and you should be fine.

——————————————-
Myth #5: You Need An E-Mail List
——————————————-

I’m not going to say having an e-mail list isn’t great. It sure is. I love my list, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

But you do NOT need a list to start with.

In fact, it’s best if you don’t start with a list, because it forces you to build one.

The best way to do that is to find a good market full of hungry buyers. Google lets you do all the keyword research you want for no cost, so find keywords that get healthy traffic but not killer competition (those are “long tail keywords” by the way).

Those micro-niches are a great place to start a list.

Once you find them, you can do one of two things:

* You can offer an inexpensive initial information product, like I described before, or

* You can do the same work to create a report and…get ready…offer it for free!

I LOVE that second option. It’s a great way to go, because you don’t have to worry about selling anything to start with.

Focus on offering truly helpful, valuable information to start with, and get people on your list. Then you can offer them an inexpensive “starter” product, and you’ll probably get lots of buyers.

I’m telling you, if you’ll do that, you’re miles ahead of most people. Most people either don’t build a list at all, or they focus on offering a big product first.

I initially didn’t build a list at all. I worked night and day for months to get visitors to offers, but I didn’t capture a single e-mail address.

That mistake literally cost me years. Please don’t do that to yourself.

It’s much smarter to start small, attract visitors with a no-cost (or low-cost) offer, and build a list from the first day.

In fact, that’s the general advice I’ll leave you with.

Skip right past these myths, because they’re not true. Instead, ignore them and do very simple things that can get you moving FAST.

If you’ll do that, you can shortcut the success process like you won’t believe.

I hope this helps and I’ll talk to you soon.

Mobile Traffic Guru Paid $100K For This…

Posted August 30th, 2011. Filed under Traffic Generation

I haven’t seen this much “buzz” about a new product in Internet marketing for a while…

Maybe because it’s *rare* to see something that introduces something totally NEW — and at just the right time for you to jump in and make an easy killing.

Mobile traffic super affiliate Tim Donovan recently flew underground traffic genius Nick Lewis out to Los Angeles…

And paid him over $100K to teach him his patented “Fast Traffic” techniques.

I think that has to be some kind of record for a “non guru”.

Now (if you hurry) Nick’s letting you grab his entire Fast Traffic Formula for $99,953 less then Tim paid for the same secrets.

I mean it — you’ve NEVER seen this before. This is even new to me, and I’ve been in this game for a while, and right now it’s incredibly EASY to make it BIG in Internet Marketing for pocket change — way easier than PPC, SEO, article marketing or any of the “same old” tactics that are just about impossible to “break into”.

Don’t wait on this — you can literally be making money this afternoon, so you owe it to yourself to find out what all the “buzz” is about right here.

Free Internet Marketing Strategies

Posted August 21st, 2011. Filed under Internet Marketing

When people begin trying to learn how to make money online with an online business they will run into the problem of finding free traffic. To build free web traffic to your presence learning free internet marketing will be necessary. The two main forms of internet marketing which cost nothing include search engine optimization and social marketing which includes both social networking and social bookmarking. All of these techniques are discussed at the major webmaster forums in far more depth than this article. I recommend joining a couple of these forums just in case you have further questions after reading this. The two webmaster forums I have seen the most benefit from include digital point forums and v7n.com/forums.

The first major free internet marketing technique I would like to discuss is search engine optimization. This is the process of ranking your website well in Google and the other major search engines for keywords which are highly searched for. When trying to rank your presence well in the search engines the first thing you should work on is your website or blog. Here you should focus on placing keywords in all the main areas such as the URL, titles, and headings. The keywords should also be placed throughout any content you publish on your site. After placing the keywords on your content the next thing you should work on is the number of backlinks pointing towards your website. This is how Google will find your website and determine how popular your website is compared to the other websites in your niche. You can begin building links at free web directories which you can find by going to directorycritic.com or article directories which you can find by going to Google and searching for list of article directories.

Ranking well in the search engines will bring you the most targeted traffic, but you should also use the major social websites when trying to increase traffic. Some of the social websites which you are probably most familiar with include websites like facebook and twitter. When working with social networking websites the goal is not to increase traffic with these websites, but rather build relationships with your audience. This will bring visitors back to your website or blog over and over. Next you should move onto social bookmarking websites. These are best when you publish content on your presence make sure you submit the URL of the page which you published the content to the major social bookmarking sites such as digg.com, stumbleupon.com, and delicious.com. All of these will be great for increasing traffic and if the content you submit is niche related the traffic that comes to your site will be targeted.

If you would like to learn more about marketing I recommend buying an internet marketing ebook.

The 25-50-25 Rule For Success by Bob Bly

Posted August 18th, 2011. Filed under Self Development

“I was quite eager to learn about marketing and began reading everything associated with it,” one of my subscribers, KM, told me in a recent e-mail.

“However, with all that’s published on marketing online today, I find myself reading more than applying.

“How do I separate the worthy reading, that which would benefit my business, from the interesting but time-consuming reading that is of little practical value?

“Sometimes I force myself to read almost everything, fearful I may overlook some exceptional information or nugget. Help! Where do I stop?”

I hear this story all the time…

You are interested in something—whether it is copywriting, Internet marketing, whatever.

But you are overwhelmed by all the information being offered on the subject (after all, we live in the Information Age).

So you go “information crazy”…buying every course, attending every conference, reading every e-book, listening to every audio CD, and dialing into every webinar you can find.

Before you know it, a month…6 months…or a year has gone by—and you are no closer to your business or career goal.

That’s because you’ve spent all your time reading, studying, and learning the thing you are interested in—rather than actually DOING it.

Sadly, you are suffering from a syndrome I call “analysis paralysis”.

All the information you are taking in has overloaded your circuits.

You can’t process it all, sort through it, and figure out what to do first.

So instead, you do nothing. You take no action—other than to order yet another course or report to read.

You have become a marketing information junkie—avoiding the harsh realities of the business world by retreating to your favorite comfy chair with yet another neat marketing book.

You spend all your time READING about starting a business. So there is no time left to actually start or run a business.

You are an “armchair entrepreneur”—more enamored with the idea of entrepreneurship than the actuality.

Fortunately there is an easy solution: the 25-50-25 rule. It provides a simple guideline to help you get unstuck.

It says there are only three ways to learn a process (e.g. starting an Internet business) or a skill (e.g., copywriting): studying, observing, and doing.

Are you spending too much time studying and reading about Internet marketing or freelancing—and not enough time actually doing it and getting your business off the ground? Then apply the 25-50-25 rule.

The 25-50-25 rule says that to master a skill or process, and put what you learn into practical action, you must divide your time as follows:

>> No more than 25% of your time is spent studying i.e. reading books, going to boot camps, attending workshops, listening to CDs in your car.

>> No more than 25% of your time is spent observing—watching what successful people in your field are already doing; e.g., if you want to become a direct mail copywriter, this means reading and analyzing the direct mail you get in your mail box each day.

>> At least 50% of your time is spent actually DOING the thing you are studying and observing e.g. if you want to sell information products on the Internet, you are creating your first product…designing your website…or building your list.

The idea is similar to Michael Masterson’s notion of “ready, fire, aim”. He says that you should take action right away, and then learn as you go.

Acquiring business knowledge is a worthwhile activity. But without action, that knowledge is worthless to you.

KM’s worry that, by not reading everything, he may miss a ‘nugget’ of information is accurate: you will never know everything there is to know in your field, or even most of what there is to know in your field.

But so what?

You don’t have to know everything—or even most of what there is to know—to succeed in most endeavors.

For example, there are hundreds of strategies for making money on the Internet.

But you can make a six-figure annual income online using only a handful of them, even if you never bother to learn the others.

In freelance copywriting, there are many top writers who only write one type of promotion. Or work in one narrow niche. And they make a fortune doing so.

When we were kids, our parents and teachers told us to study, study, study.

But I see many people today much more enamored with studying marketing and reading about business, marketing, writing, and entrepreneurship than actually doing.

Well, I understand that. Reading about marketing is fascinating and fun.

But the money is in the doing, not the reading.

Follow the 25-50-25 rule, and you’ll be doing—and making money—at least half the time.

A few months ago, a VP at a local management consulting firm called me for advice on Internet marketing.

He wanted to start a line of information products related to the firm’s consulting expertise; as I recall, it was something to do with meeting OSHA regulations.

“But I have to warn you, our president is dead set against the idea of creating info products on safety,” he said.

When I asked why, he replied: “He is afraid it will erode our core business.”

For this particular consulting firm, their core business is helping clients become compliant with OSHA regulations.

For their advice, they charge a handsome fee: $3,500 a day.

The VP worried that if he gave away their knowledge and expertise in relatively low priced information products or even free white papers, potential clients wouldn’t need the firm’s expensive consulting.

Instead, they’d study the info products, do it themselves, and save a bundle.

I set him straight fast.

“Producing a line of info products won’t erode your core business in the least,” I explained.

“In fact, quite the opposite will take place.

“When people see you have published information products, they will—whether they buy your products or not—perceive you as a credible expert in the topic.

“This in turn will increase the demand for your consulting services, rather than cut into it.”

Writing a book on your specialty—or publishing special reports, white papers, articles, CDs, DVDs, or other content—positions you as a leading expert in your topic.

You know the expression, “He wrote the book on it.” It implies that the person is an expert because he is the author of a book.

“It is simply amazing the reverence people have for the printed word,” says EU, a successful publisher. “Simply because a person has written a book about a subject, people think he has something to say about it.”

Selling information products actually widens the net of prospects who can benefit from your expertise.

It’s difficult to get strangers to hire you out of the blue—after all, they don’t know who you are, what you know, and what you can do for them.

But if you package your knowledge in a $15 paperback book, they’ll risk spending $15 to sample it.

When they read the book, they will know that you know what you say you know—and believe you to be the expert you say you are.

So when you sell info products, you reach a broader—and bigger—audience.

What about the danger that the prospect will learn all your secrets by reading a $15 book, do it themselves, and deprive you of a big fat fee for your services?

That virtually never happens.

Instead, a qualified prospect reads your book and thinks: “The author really knows his stuff. But this seems complicated. I don’t have time to learn it or do it myself. Instead, I’ll just hire the author to do it for me.”

Yes, there are probably other vendors the prospect could hire to provide the needed service.

But more than likely, you’re the one they’ll call.

After all, you wrote the book on it.

Bob Bly is the author of “World’s Best Copywriting Secrets” and has written copy for more than 100 companies including IBM, Boardroom, Medical Economics and AT&T. He is the author of more than 75 books and a columnist for Target Marketing, Early To Rise and The Writer. McGraw-Hill calls him “America’s top copywriter”.

Two Ways Of Behaviour In Business

Posted July 15th, 2011. Filed under Internet Marketing

Situation with sales in any industry and any largest enterprises is changing so radically that each new month brings a palpable difference. Here are two examples of changes in sales today.

Getting information from the client.

Until that moment when I needed to renew the lease of the car remained 120 days. At this time I called and inquired about my plans for this machine, that if I’m going to get a new or keep the old one. The tone of the caller’s tone was professional, sincere and restrained. It was not the slightest aggression. The purpose of the issues was to obtain information. When I shared my disappointment about the problems with the rented car, the caller said that he made appropriate notes in the notebook and that someone from the staff will follow up the situation. I asked what machines will be offered for lease in the near future. He replied that the information was available on their web site. “Do not miss it” – he added. “If you have any questions, please contact me directly.” The call came from a car manufacturer, not the dealer. I was flattered. General Motors apparently intercepted the initiative in the fight for the customer (ie me). After receiving this information GM can be sure that at the end of the lease I will buy one of cars. But that’s not all. GM “seated” me in my driving seat thanks to the fact that, on the one hand, it provided me the information I need to make a decision as a buyer, but on the other hand, has received important information about my plans. All this serves as another argument in favor of a powerful sales strategy for GM: Personal communication before the deadline for replacing a car, get information about my plans, saying my sympathy in connection with my problems and giving me useful information. Judging by this, General Motors Corporation, not only wants me to rented or bought a new car, but also to endeavor to meet my needs as a customer.

Ignoring the customer information.

However, not all firms behave in this way. For many years I have regularly bought books at Barnes & Noble and every week dropped to their nearest bookstore. Then, about three years ago, the visits gradually became less frequent and eventually stopped altogether.

The database company had information about my purchases because they were made by credit card American Express. Barnes & Noble knew my name, number of purchases made by me and all my behavior as a buyer, including the frequency of my visits. At Barnes & Noble was at the disposal of all of this information, and, nevertheless, they did not even try to do something to keep me as a customer. The company did not bother to find out if did not moved, not died there.

Both these examples show that the situation in the trade has changed since the client has changed. One firm facilitates the customer business communication, while another was unable to take advantage of the availability of its information about the client to keep him.

Any online business has the right to receive internet marketing. Find out how many people are receiving traffic from search engines today – this is part of Internet marketing strategy for successful site owners shown on this website traffic site.

And when you have nice targeted traffic – then “increase web traffic” questions become very easy.

P.P.S. Today we live in the world where knowledge quickly enhances the quality of our life. That is why if you are properly armed with the info in your sphere of interest you can rest assured that you will always find the way out from any bad situation. So, please make sure to visit this site on a regular basis or – the least time consuming way of doing it – sign up to its RSS feed. Different Aspects Of Internet Marketing
